Rosso dei Dardi, Alessandro e Gian Natale, Piemonte Rosso, 2004

A blend of barbera, nebbiolo and friesa, this wine is everything that the Paolo Scavino Rosso 2004 should be: or could have been. Brilliant fruity without overdoing it, with a brilliant streak of acid that brings it alive. A real charmer for meals that that need something really bright, charming and alive. Served with my homemade pizza, it was perfect.

I love the Barolo and Barbera from Alessandro and Gian Natale Fantino from Montforte d´Alba. They are great wine producer, they produce with all their emotions one of the best wines I know.... delicious with "taglierin al tartufo o al ragu" or just a plate of good old cheese. It´s really worth to visit them and see how they produce their great wines. And the prices are very fair!

Alessandro and Gian Natale became very good friends of mine. They are great people and produce a wonderful wine. I love especially their Barolo Riserva 2001. I organized even my wedding on their ground and they prepared delicious antipasti for me. It was an unforgetable party. Who wants to know more about them and their great wines look at my Piemont Tipps under www.bellabionda.de
